switchblade's winter festival
It is the day after Thanksgiving and on this Black Friday, snow has decided to grace the streets of Switchblade. With the holidays now in full swing, the annual (unnamed event) has officially kicked off. Hosted and paid for by the Turpis Family, the festival lasts right up until midnight of Christmas Eve. Central Park and several surrounding streets are shut down and police detail is kicked up while this event happens. Ice sculptures line the sides of the streets and people can enter their sculptures into the contest. The ice on the lake has frozen over and is safe enough to skate on. With entertainment being taken care of by the Vitius Syndicate and the after-parties taken care of by the Delinquo Cartel, citizens of Switchblade join together in their holiday festivities. People can enjoy the carnival setting or stop by to watch performances from popular artists. There's plenty of hot food stands. The festival is fun for all ages but just remember to bundle up. For once, the people of Switchblade can put aside their differences...well, almost. Pax Pacis refuses to go unnoticed and if there's even a single hint of gang activity, Pax Pacis is looking to crack down hard. So, enjoy the festival but be sure to keep an eye out. Nobody is ever safe in this city.turpis winter charity
When the Christmas season comes around, everyone's expected to give and this includes the Turpis Family. It wouldn't be winter without the annual charity event thrown by possibly the most corrupt family in the world. Held on the roof of the Turpis Tower, the high-class event hosts only the richest and most prominent members of the Switchblade society. Well, at least it's supposed to. The formal event is one of the most anticipated parties of the year and the paparazzi go to great lengths to get photos of any possible screw ups. Essentially the event is to make the Turpis seem charitable but in reality, they're only giving a sliver of the money they steal right back. The Turpis might as well be handing pocket change over for all they care. Yet somehow it's enough to trick the citizens of Switchblade. For one night, the Turpis can actually seem like a good family. This year though, the Turpis are out to make their alignment with the Vitius Syndicate very clear. So bring a date and a checkbook, it's going to be one hell of a party.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
