emmaly jane addams. pronounced kinda like the name "emily," but with an "a," you could say. at the age of twenty one, many would think that she hasn't been through a lot. with such a keen need to help people and an almost naive drive, many would still think this. they think that there's no way that someone so shy and polite would have been through enough. after all, she isn't cynical. she doesn't appear to be overly wise. emmaly lived with her mom. things weren't the roughest they could have been, by any means. eventually, they moved to switchblade. things seemed to be as normal as they could be - before it happened. freshman year of high school, the beginning of the year, emmaly became pregnant. her five year old baby, cardonnay, is the shining star of her life now. giving up college to work two waitressing jobs, she's determined to give her daughter a bright future. protective and maternal are two words that could describe emmaly. she had to grow up a little too fast, and though she is hypocritical at times, she has no desires to make any more decisions that will permanently alter her life. she tends to be a bit judgmental, especially to those who "mess up" their lives. all in all, though, she is a nice girl, she's just a bit timid and overprotective of her family.

i'd really like that people not try to get her involved heavily in the gangs. of course, she can talk to anyone at any time based on her job and lack of affiliation. she can play the role of moderator between some specific people. still, violence isn't exactly something i want her getting too involved with. unless you want some mugging or something small-ish like that. but honestly, she's weak and probably wouldn't be able to handle hurting anyone or wielding a gun. i can imagine friends being common, though close friends would be difficult. she isn't the most openly personal person. maybe an "usual" customer or two could keep her company? enemies could also be common. she can come across as elitist if she says too much about something she knows you do that she doesn't like. of course, she's often times too shy to actually say anything. she is, though, the type of girl who is uptight and not always very good at relaxing. in terms of romance, don't expect too much. sure, she'd eventually like for someone to help provide for her daughter. but honestly, most guys in this age group aren't looking for that. chardonnay's father bailed, so she isn't exactly trusting of that.
