A sigh of joy escaped the soft lips of a certain slim, young woman as she sat comfortably in her executive chair in her lovely company estate building. It was rather good life, but she didn’t notice it as she relaxed in her seat. A new season of clothing had already begun, and her fashion line had been enjoyed by over the majority of usual buyers. It was enough to make any fashion designer happy with themselves. As per usual, when the day of work was over, Veronica would dress herself in some dolled up outfit and make her way towards her all time favorite place in the city. The rumors lounge, which was by far the most comfortable place to eat, drink, or really do anything. If one wanted a room to read, then, well, they wouldn’t be there. This was the place to socialize and have fun, not be a book worm and waste time.
With only the click of her heals to announce her presence, she was rather happy go lucky sauntering down the street to the rumors lounge less than a block away. It was really location which made the place all the better for the rich gal. Though, it was also nice to know that she wouldn’t have to work those poor little body guards to death by walking too far. It was her brother’s idea for them, but then after their parents’ car accident, it didn’t surprise her. Just like it didn’t surprise her that she now carried a switch blade with her everywhere and a can of pepper spray. She was well trained in most self defense long ago, but recently she’d taken to using the switch blade because she felt best having a weapon of her own. Not that her body guards didn’t have guns and blades of their own, it just wasn’t good enough for her.
Sauntering into the doors of the lounge, hips swaying to the beat of her own drum, she smiled sweetly to the guy just inside, but didn’t need to say a word. He already knew who she was just by sheer gossip and news, and she knew this without a doubt by the nod that he gave her. Though it wasn’t the nod that spoke to her, no, the bald man blushed an adorable shade of pink when she winked at him. Such a sweet man was that guy, but that was as far as it would go. There was no way a man like him could be a man for her. She needed someone who could handle her flirting, and then turn around and be the guy who wasn’t afraid to tell her his feelings. Not a mush man, but a guy who she knew for a fact wouldn’t lash out when he felt the need. Sitting at a lovely little table, Veronica was debating the choice of meal to have when she heard a loud noise coming from the kitchen doors. Looking up, she stared in obvious curiosity with everyone else in the place towards the loud noises. What ever could be wrong?
