ello. this is luke, criminal attorney, thirty-five and never married. he grew up in cali and now is over on this side for work. he's responsible for freeing a lot of criminals; some, not so bad; some, pretty terrible. its earned him a few verbal and even physical attacks from the families of the released inmate's victims and he's not the most popular guy for this reason. well, there's other reasons too. for one thing, he is a lawyer. also, he's not very nice. he might be well-intentioned, but luke has a hard time showing a softer side. he keeps up the asshole act by pretending to be driven by money and ambition when, in reality, he pick cases based on which is more interesting and more of a challenge and when he's really curious about a certain crime and criminal. he's even been known to work pro-bono but this is always attributed to a need to build a name for himself, which, like the money, also doesn't hurt. now luke may not be very polite towards his clients and he won't tell them if he actually believes they deserve freedom, but he will do anything to win a case. he can be very compassionate, even if he's very careful not to show it, and sometimes takes cases in the name of justice. it's all the same, really, because in the end he's motivated by his curiosity in finding out what drives people to commit these crimes.

so luke needs cases. i would like him to have one case that he's been working on for a while, getting appeals and stuff and maybe a new one that catches his eye. they would have to really sell him their case in order for him to work pro-bono, other wise, he might be persuaded by a fair price. luke and the defendants don't have to like each other, but when luke takes a shine to someone, things get interesting. for friends it could be anybody. though, more than friends, he would have allies, just somebody on his side. enemies would be plenty since he has a talent for pissing people off, and that's when he's not freeing some serial killer. judges don't like him very much and law enforcement officers dread him actually because they work their asses off trying to conjure up evidence for him to stroll in and pee on. in the love department, well, luke has had many girlfriends, a couple of stable and lasting relationships, but his work has always come first and the one girl he ever thought of proposing to dumped him before he could even purchase a ring. i'm open for anything to happen with him: flings, dating, relationships, affairs, etc. he's drawn to strong, outspoken women, preferably who present a challenge for him and, so long as they're adults, age is not a problem.

Lawyers! Strangely we don't have many on the site. Anyway. I'm thinking Lucas could be Ben's personal lawyer or just one of the lawyers for the studio. He could be someone who works Ben's cases quite often and sometimes handles a few of the musicians that work for Ben when they get on the wrong side of the law. The two of them would probably be friends, or well more acquaintances. Ben gives him information as long as Lucas keeps him out of jail. Yes, no?

hi! fo sho. i like all of that, actually. have him be responsible for keeping the gang "legit" and "free of charges." i don't see why they wouldn't get along luke having worked for ben for a while, also. i really have nothing to add, lol. i have no specific idea right now, but if i come up with something or if you wanna rp, im up for it!

Haha yes, that sound awesome. I can't think of anything for them either but I'm working on some site-wide plots that may involve a lawyer, so I'll definitely let you know ^^

_{out of my two character, max and zander, max is the only one i can think up a plot for. it's not much of a plot, per say. more like an idea that could expand. max isn't the type of girl who enjoys taking no for an answer. she's a little more snarky than most can tolerate, too. i'm thinking a fling of sorts. she's only twenty-three, but she's very much active, if you catch my jest. she's not without self respect, though. i can see her leading lucas on what she believes will be nothing more than a few fleeting glances, and then it turns into something else, and she's completely baffled as to how it all happened, considering it usually takes either a lot of alcohol or a lot of impressive moves to get into her bed remotely quick.}

hey. actually, she would keep him very interested, luke likes a challenge in most aspects of his life. so long as it's no statutory rape, there really isn't a problem with age, lol. i like that idea. he'll definitley be into the snarkiness. though he's into one night stands like any normal person with needs, he's not afraid of pursuing someone when they pique his interest, so yeah, i'm into them having a fling of sorts and seeing things unravel. how would you have them meet? he could always go to the bar she works at unless you have something in mind or you'd like for them to already know each other somehow? i'm up fir anything =)

_{well, i just got an idea, actually. they could kind of know each other from somewhere else. say a bad first impression. they were both in the same building for whatever reason, she had been carrying something in, and he purposely closed the doors on her just as she was about to reach the elevator? or something to that extent anyway- where he's an asshole, and they don't expect to see each other again, and then BAM. he ends up at the place she bartends, and they come face to face again, only this time, max is in charge. so to speak (considering she controls the alcohol, of course~). it would make for an interesting meeting, and it'd get them off to a sarcastic and bitter start, too.}
